Frequency Band Below 6 GHz 30 GHz to 300 GHz
Multiple Access CDMA CDMA, BDMA
Network Design Base Station (Macro/ Micro) Heterogenous Networks

Top Benefits of 5G Network to Consumers

So now you know the subtle difference between 4G and 5G networks. It is time to know the advantages of it.’
5G Tech

1. Smartphones

5g technology will impact smartphones widely in the coming time and 5g devices will become a norm in our day-to-day lives. The advantage of 5g over any other network is the reach and connectivity. So every nook and corner of the world will have an improved network. Even the hard-to-reach places will have a connection guaranteed as part of service plans. Moreover, users will have a high-quality experience on their devices with downloads having to face no delays like before.

2. Entertainment and Streaming

5G provides an unprecedented advantage over other technologies with virtually unlimited capacity and reduced lag time. With high-quality and comparatively faster streaming, 5G also assures revolutionary immersive experiences.
So you can have the perception of being a part of the world you are viewing or streaming. This includes multisensory digital content due to its increased capacity that can support virtual reality and augmented reality. So the experience you will receive is new ways of communication, smarter working, and smooth and reliable immersive gaming.

3. Virtual Reality

A report predicted that 90% of 5G traffic will be video by the year 2028 and instead of using an average of 11.7 GB of bandwidth per month, we’ll each use 84.4 GB. With 5G’s speed and latency, we will not only stream videos in 4k but also get a virtual reality becoming reality experience.
At the moment, VR and AR are restricted to fixed locations of the devices that operate them. 5G in collaboration with the cloud will help us spread information onto the environment around us using VR headsets.

4. Edge Computing

Edge computing is a distributed information technology architecture that brings organization applications closer to the data sources in order to reduce latency and bandwidth use. So you have the advantage of creating high-performance applications that can process and store data close to where it is generated, providing ultra-low latency, smartness, and real-time responsiveness.
With the changing edge computing trends use cases and data requirements, it requires high-speed networks to achieve that near real-time responsiveness. 5G networks provide that support for complex edge computing infrastructure and specialization.

5. Internet of Things

The Internet of Things is enhancing our lives in many ways and stretching beyond laptops and smartphones. These devices include thermostats, weather monitors, traffic systems, light bulbs, and industrial sensors. The low latency of 5G could benefit a wide variety of connected devices, including self-driving cars.
It’s going to affect how we buy our product or service. The IoT will enable the things we use every day to make payments. you could pay for small expenses too by just pressing a button. So it will not only make things convenient but will also save a lot of time.

4 Ways 5G Will Alter Business and Consumer Technology

Considering the benefits of 5g for consumers, there are certain aspects that will change in the technology for businesses and customers. They are,
5G High-speed Networks

1. Virtual Access to Most Business

In the coming year, 5G will speed up the availability of IoT devices with greater capabilities and effectiveness in multiple industries like e-commerce, tech, fashion, and shopping. Entertainment and education will improve too with 5G technology.
So, this will benefit customers boostly as they will be able to witness more impactful services and immersive experiences from the enterprise. This applies to all industries and sizes of enterprises. Customers can enjoy personalized services along with frontline workers and employees. So video, virtual, and augmented reality will enhance consumer experience as businesses will provide virtual access.

2. Exclusive Gaming Experience Across All Devices

As we discussed above in the advantages that 5G will improvise the gaming arena. The reason behind this is 5G is beneficial due to its latency and not its bandwidth. The most-used app for that is cloud gaming among Gen Z and millennial gamers. With 5G in place, you will be able to play AAA games on your phones that would normally require a gaming laptop.
On 5G, the game itself is running on a high server so the lag between the server, cloud, and mobile phones will be unnoticeable. The gaming experience around all devices will be exclusive.

3. Improved Capabilities for Smart Appliances

The smart appliance industry will witness a boom all thanks to AI and 5G. Your needs will be fulfilled by truly smart devices as the 5G networks come with high speed and low latency. These appliances can determine the material, procedures, and even the finished product.

Introduction
The 8th iteration of the smartest smartphone, Google Pixel is here. Along with the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, Google also announced Pixel Watch 2 and Android 14 during its 2023 Google Pixel launch event.
As far as surprises go, Google has had a terrible history of keeping their devices from being leaked. And, most of what the rumors suggested about the Pixel 8 has come true. One of those was the brand-new AI integrated Camera. Before talking more about it in detail, let’s see what the Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro have to offer.

Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro Specifications

Here’s a quick look at the hardware specs of both 2023 Pixel devices:

Google Pixel 8 Google Pixel 8 Pro
Display FHD, 6.2-inch OLED at 60-120Hz refresh rate QHD, 6.7-inch LTPO OLED at 1-120Hz refresh rate
Processor Tensor G3 Tensor G3
RAM 8GB 12GB
Storage 128GB or 256GB 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB
Battery 4,575mAh with wireless charging 5,050mAh with wireless charging

Now, we all know that the Google Pixel has never been about the flashiest hardware. They’re known to show software magic that takes decently good hardware to match other flagships like the iPhone 15 that launched last month. But, that doesn’t mean Google has let the same hardware slide this year. The all-new Tensor G3 has to be the highlight hardware component this year alongside the new ultrawide sensor upgrade over last year’s Pixel 7 Pro. The Batteries have also seen a minor bump with the RAM, storage, and displays remaining the same.
But, what’s special about these new flagships from Google?

Everything New and Improved About the Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro

Google Pixel 8

Android 14 and Software Upgrades

One of Google’s main selling points is its amazing, buttery-smooth software experience. With the Android 14, the Pixel 8 has new features like accessibility options, security improvements, and customization. The most notable features of Android 14 are the notification flashes, built-in health connect app, and better hearing-aid support.
Talking about Pixel 8 exclusive features, there’s a new camera feature called Best Take. It takes multiple photos and uses AI to combine them to get the best shot, hence the name. So let’s say you’re taking a photo and some people’s faces are not correctly captured. Using multiple photos, the feature will automatically adjust and edit those faces.
Sticking to the images, Google is also using generative AI for their new Magic Editor tool that can reposition, resize, and completely reimagine a photo after it’s shot. Other than that, the Google Assistant gets better this year. You can now use it to summarize web pages and read text aloud while automatically translating it. The Gboard also features better suggestions for proofreading your texts.

An Improved Camera Set-up

Google already has a tried-and-tested recipe for a great camera, as it has been one of the best in the industry. Some would even argue that Google’s photos are better in some situations when compared to the iPhone or Samsung’s Galaxy S23. This year’s camera has a few minor hardware upgrades to make it better.
The Pixel 8’s 50MP primary sensor has a wider aperture at ƒ/1.68 to take in more light. The ultrawide lens has a larger FoV to bring in more of the background without distorting the image too much. While that is a decent upgrade, the Pixel 8 Pro has an even better ultrawide sensor at 48MP along with an even wider aperture than the Pixel 8.
When it comes to the front cameras, the Pixel 8 doesn’t see a notable quality upgrade. However, they now have Class 3 biometrics which gives them the same security class as the fingerprint scanners. So, you can use both, fingerprint and face unlock with equal security for banking and locking your phone and apps.

Tensor G3-Powered Performance

Since its introduction with the Pixel 6 in 2021, Google has used the Tensor G-series processors that they designed and Samsung made. Each year, Google has announced unique software and camera features that were only possible thanks to their Tensor processors. This year’s Tensor G3 enables similar software features that we discussed earlier. It also has a next-gen ARM CPU along with an improved GPU and a next-gen TPU. All of these upgrades in the performance will improve camera quality, battery life, and day-to-day usage. However, it is worth noting that the tensor G3 is still nowhere near Apple’s A17 and Snapdragon Gen 8 processors.
Apart from the processor, everything is exactly the same in terms of storage capacity and memory. The battery life is expected to be slightly better considering a slight bump to the capacity and processor improvements.
Google Pixel 8 and Pixel Watch 2

Minor Display and Design Changes

The Google Pixel 8 and 8 pro have a 6.2-inch FHD and a 6.7-inch QHD display respectively. Both of them offer slightly better displays than last year. The Pixel 8 now offers a 120Hz refresh rate compared to the 90Hz of the Pixel 7. The Pixel 8 pro now has the capability to use a variable refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. Other than that, both displays have slightly higher peak brightness.
The design hasn’t changed much at all from the Pixel 7 with the same camera bar on the rear top. However, unlike the Pixel 7 Pro, the Pixel 8 Pro no longer has a curved display. Some people loved it, some didn’t. Lastly, there are 2 new color options in shades of light blue and pink color.

The All-New Google Pixel Watch 2 – New Sensors and Better Battery

Along with the Pixel phones, Google also announced the Pixel Watch 2 during the launch event. The 2nd generation smartwatch by Google saw major upgrades over the previous model. It has a new processor, an overhauled sensor array, added safety features, heart rate zone training, and Wear OS 4. The new processor will also increase the battery life to about 24 hours with an always-on display.

Google Pixel Watch 2 and Google Pixel 8 Price – How Much Will the New Toys Set You Back?

For the past couple of years, Google has tried to sink its feet in the higher-tier market just under the ultra-expensive flagship level of Apple and Samsung’s top models. And, they’ve nailed it with the pricing for both of their offerings this year.
The Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro will cost around $699 and $999, respectively. Whereas, the Google Watch 2 will go for $349.99.
At these prices, the Pixel 8 makes for a great high-end phone if you’re okay with a slightly less powerful processor. The growing use of Google’s AI solutions is also a great start for the smartphone.
However, the $300 difference between the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro doesn’t offer that much to make it a no-brainer upgrade. Are you in the market for a new smartphone? If so, let us know if this year’s Google Pixel caught your eye.

Introduction
The most awaited launch of the year is finally here. Apple has released its iPhone 15 line along with Apple Watch Ultra 2, and Apple Watch Series 9. They also announced an update to last year’s Apple Watch Ultra.
The four new iPhone models, the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max will be available in the market later this month. All of the announcements were made at the Wonderlust event on Tuesday in Cupertino, California. The Apple event was live-streamed on various platforms showcasing its innovation in tech. The iPhone 15 series was expected to have aesthetic changes and technological updates, and it looks like Apple has delivered it.

Here is What has Changed in the iPhone 15 Series

All four devices in the new iPhone lineup − iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max will be available for preorder on September 15 with an official online and in-store launch on September 22. There are numerous features and upgrades in the new line that are exciting.
iPhone 15

Display and Design

Starting with the displays, iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro have 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED displays. The iPhone 15 Plus and 15 Pro Max will have the same OLED displays with a bigger, 6.7-inch screen and an aluminum body. The Pro iPhones also have an upgraded 120Hz display which is absent on the base models.

The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max feature a newly refined titanium body with brush texture, contoured edges, and the thinnest borders which makes it Apple’s lightest Pro lineup ever. The Dynamic Island returns as a redesigned notch at the top of the screen that takes up less visual space. Also, the Pro models will not have the ring/mute switch. Instead, the switch will be a programmable action Button, a feature that many Android phones boasted.

Camera Setup

The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus have a 48MP main camera that enables super-high-resolution photos and a new 2x telephoto lens to give users a total of three optical zoom levels giving the feel of a third camera. iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max also have a 48 MP main camera along with a new 24MP super-high-resolution default.

Moreover, the iPhone 15 Pro features an expansive 3x Telephoto camera, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max provides the longest optical zoom ever on the iPhone which is 5x thanks to a 120 mm lens.

Performance and Hardware

The iPhone 15 base models will have an A16 Bionic chip also used in the iPhone 14 Pro Models for proven powerful performance. iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are powered by A17 Pro, the industry’s first 3-nanometer chip. The iPhone 15 Pro will offer smoother graphics, more immersive AR applications, and gaming experiences thanks to the new Pro-class GPU with 6 cores.

Thanks to performance upgrades to the iPhone 15 Pro, gaming will take a notable step forward. Apple has announced an impressive lineup of AAA games like Resident Evil 4 Remake, Resident Evil Village, Death Stranding, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage. It is still too early to start comparing the iPhones FPS figures with the consoles or PCs. But, Apple rarely disappoints in the performance department.

Battery and USB-C Charging

The battery life of the iPhone 15 models is expected to be similar to the previous year’s lineup. But, one thing has changed for the better!

All the iPhone 15 models use a USB‑C connector, a universally accepted standard for charging and transferring data, allowing the same cable to charge iPhone, Mac, iPad, and the updated AirPods Pro (2nd generation). Users can also charge AirPods or Apple Watch directly from iPhones with the USB‑C connector.

Colors Options

The standard models will debut in five colors that is pink, black, white, blue, and yellow. The iPhone Pro models will come in dark gray, black, dark blue, and light grey. Looks like Apple has finally heard the call for a Pink iPhone. And, you won’t have to pay extra for it! Speaking of which:

iPhone 15 Prices

The standard iPhone 15 will start at a price range of $799, and the 15 Plus will start at $899. The iPhone 15 Pro starts at $999, while the iPhone Pro Max will have a price of $1,199.

What’s New in the Apple Watch Series?

They also announced two new watches Apple Watch Ultra 2, and Apple Watch Series 9.
Both are equipped with a new S9 SiP (System in Package) and a new ultra-wideband chip. The Apple Watch Ultra 2 jumps up to a screen brightness as high as 3,000 nits, while the Apple Watch Series 9 can max out at 2,000 nits. Both will also support a double-tap feature to help you do things like answer phone calls.

They will also have features like the brightest ever display, expanded altitude range, on-device Siri, Precision Finding for iPhone, and advanced capabilities for water adventures. the Apple Watch Ultra 2 has the same 36-hour battery life with regular use and up to 72 hours in Low Power Mode. For the Apple Watch Series 9, Apple claims that it is 60% faster, coupled with a 30% faster GPU. Last year’s Apple Watch Ultra has upgrades like customizable watch faces and power zones for data collection during exercise.

 iPhone 15 Series

Our Thoughts

All the models include 100% recycled and low-carbon material keeping in mind the environment and sustainability. So the new iPhone 15 is an ideal phone for environment-conscious people. But is it really worth an upgrade over last year’s iPhone 14 lineup?

For tech enthusiasts, the new iPhone means much more than just an upgrade. Apple’s flagship phones have been synonymous with setting trends. One of those was the notch up top which they retracted from. But, this year’s highlight has to be Apple’s focus on the gaming performance.

If this new take on the gaming industry works, we could see major shake-ups in the console and PC gaming market. Regardless of what angle this ship takes, we’re thrilled to be on it!

Introduction

After 4 years of Samsung’s first foldable, Google entered the market with its first foldable phone, Pixel Fold. The Google Pixel Fold is available in the market from June 27. It is a treat for Google enthusiasts because the hype for the phone was long made. Google started accepting the preorder of Pixel Fold on May 10.

In this article, we will review it for you and help you decide whether you should buy it or wait for the next pixel folding phone, or maybe just go with a leading foldable like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Google Pixel Fold Features and Specifications

Google Pixel Fold Features and Specifications

Design:

Google Pixel Fold has revolutionized the foldable phone market with its 0.2 inches thick display. This feature makes it easier to operate apps and text on the front panel, making it a second display rather than a preview. The device weighs 0.625 lbs. Which is slightly heavier than the Galaxy Z Fold 4. It features a 7.6-inch display when opened.

The fluid-friction hinge on the Pixel Fold ensures smooth operation and durability, but the device does not unfold completely flat. While the Pixel Fold can withstand immersion in 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes, it is not waterproof or dust-proof. The device is available in porcelain and obsidian colors, but its durability should be considered as it may be easy to damage the inside display.

Display:

The Pixel Fold features dual OLED displays with a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits, offering a wide viewing angle and consistent 120Hz refresh rates. The panel’s exterior display is brighter, with a maximum brightness of 1,172 nits, surpassing the Galaxy Z Fold 4’s 870 nits. The smaller external display is better for framing shots, while the interior display is adequate for viewing films and showcasing photos.

Software and Usage Modes:

The Pixel Fold offers a user-friendly multitasking experience with its intuitive design. It features a dock for quick access to apps, split screen mode, and easy switching between apps. Samsung keeps the dock visible, but the overall approach is clean and intuitive. The Pixel Fold offers various modes, such as TV mode for watching videos and tabletop mode for a more ergonomic experience.

Google has optimized its apps for the large screen, and third-party developers have also contributed to the device’s multitasking capabilities. Google’s Gmail, TikTok, Spotify, and Slack are some of the best-performing apps on the Pixel Fold.

When you have apps that don’t appear squashed, a split screen is excellent. To avoid switching between multiple apps, I used Chrome and Telegram to send my partner recommendations about where to get dinner. Having these capabilities just makes the simple things so much easier, even if none of this would have been hard with a typical phone.

Google Pixel

Camera

Google’s I/O 2023 showcased the Google Pixel Fold, featuring five cameras in the foldable phone category. The Pixel Fold offers a high-quality camera experience with Real Tone and Night Sight. It features a 48MP back camera, 10.8MP ultrawide camera, and 10.8MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and 20x Super Res Zoom. The 9.5MP front camera and 8MP internal camera are also included. The 5x optical zoom lens provides excellent details and clarity, while the Google Photos app offers unique photo tools like Magic Eraser and Photo Unblur for sharpening pictures.

Battery

The Galaxy Z Fold 4’s 4,400 mAh battery is less than the 4,821 mAh battery in the Pixel Fold. Unsurprisingly, that change was sufficient to have the Pixel Fold outperform its major competitor in our test, lasting 10 hours and 21 minutes. In contrast, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 ran the same test for 9 hours and 17 minutes.

Our testing in the real world revealed that its battery life was likewise good. With the Pixel Fold, a full battery will provide you with a minimum of 3 quarters of daily use. It means you have to charge it twice a day.

Performance

Overall, the performance of the Google Tensor G2 chip is great in the Pixel fold. It uses the same Google TensorG2 chip, which was used in the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Google needs to fix the app opening structure because it is a bit of a headache when it comes to the overall experience.

Price

The base variant with 12GB, 256 GB RAM would cost you around $1,800. The top variant costs $1999. Since it’s Google’s first folding phone, it would have made more sense to keep the price lower. Nonetheless, the price is set and it’s up to you to see if you can afford it.

Verdict

Foldables of the first generation are hard. Unlike Motorola’s or Samsung’s initial foldable experiments, the Pixel Fold is far from a failure. But such businesses have worked out many of the issues now that they are several generations old. It’s a fun gadget, but it would probably work best for someone who doesn’t mind carrying around a lot of weight and frequently consumes entertainment on a big screen when traveling. You’re better off waiting to see what the next generation has to offer if, however, it sounds more like a nice-to-have than a need, as it did to me.

Online privacy has become a critical issue for consumers in recent years with data collection and tracking as growing concerns. Tech giants Apple and Google respond by taking the lead in developing an industry specification to set privacy standards. This will also address the misuse of Bluetooth tracking devices for unwanted tracking.

Apple and Google were already collaborating on this project for over a year. Now, they’re inviting other companies to join in the effort. Both companies have said that the new specification will build on the existing privacy features in their respective operating systems. They will also provide greater protection for users than they did before.

More About the Apple and Google Industry Specification

The new specification will provide consumers with more transparency and control over their data and will help prevent unwanted tracking by third-party companies. The goal is to create standards that can be used by all companies across the industry. These will also work across different platforms and devices.

The initiative has already gained support from various organizations, including Samsung, Tile, Chipolo, eufy Security, and Pebblebee.

The specification is submitted in the form of an Internet-Draft by IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force). And they are inviting and encouraging other interested parties to give reviews and comments over the next three months. Following the comment period, Apple and Google will release a production implementation guide of the specification. The timeline for that is by the end of 2023. And, the updates will be available in future iOS and Android versions.

Conclusion:

With this industry specification, consumers can take a sigh of relief as they’ll finally have some control over their online data. It’s a major step forward in the ongoing battle for privacy, and one that we can all appreciate.

Both Apple and Google have confirmed that the merger will not compromise user privacy. The users will also have full control over their location data.

Introduction

Motorola Edge 30 is Motorola’s latest offering in the upper mid-range smartphone market. With the Edge 30, Motorola has launched the world’s slimmest phone in the smartphone market. In terms of design, the Motorola Edge 30 looks better than its premium sibling Motorola Edge 30 Pro. Reportedly, Motorola offers several features in its latest offerings. Let us see whether the world’s slimmest phone performs the way it has been claimed to.

An Overview of The Motorola Edge 30

As the world’s slimmest phone, the Motorola Edge 30 is also the first smartphone to house 778G+ (the fastest offering of 700 series chips). Packed with powerful performance, the Edge 30 comes with an insanely fast 144Hz refresh rate.

Motorola Edge 30 comes in two variants (6GB+128GB, and 8GB+128GB) as well as two different colors (Arora Blue and Meteor Grey). Along with its bright pOLED display, the phone is powered by Android 12. The spec sheet of Motorola Edge 30 is fully decked out. Let’s see whether the phone performs as the spec sheet claims to.

An Overview of The Motorola Edge 30

1. Specifications of Motorola Edge 3

Motorola Edge 30 Specification
Software Moto UI on Android 12
Display    6.5in F-HD+ 10-Bit pOLED with 144Hz refresh rate

Weight   155 grams
Processor    Snapdragon 778+ 5G
GPU   Adreno 642L
RAM   6GB And 8GB
Storage   128GB
Main Camera Setup   50MP+50MP+2MP
Selfie Camera   32MP
Battery   4020mAh

2. Price Range of The Motorola Edge 30

Being a mid-range smartphone, the Motorola Edge 30 will not make holes in your pocket. The pricing varies as per the storage options. You can avail the smartphone in the following two price ranges:

6GB RAM + 128 GB ROM is priced at 27,999/-
8GB RAM + 128GB ROM is priced at 29,999/-

Motorola Edge 30 Software

Motorola is known for its near-stock Android feel and its Edge 30 is no exception. The Edge 30 is clean bloatware free with a near-stock android feel and the phone comes with Android 12 out of the box.

Being near-stock android with minimum bloat puts a lot less stress on RAM and on the processor which eventually increases the snappiness of the phone. Moto apps that are built-in provide access to themes, gestures, and visual adjustment, and also guide on how to use various features.

Design and Display of Motorola Edge 30

Motorola Edge 30 has a simple and minimalist design. Being the slimmest and lightest phone in the world, it has a thickness of 6.79 mm and weighs only 155g, and is available in two colors. Its streamlined design makes it comfortable for you to hold the phone in hand.

Speaking of its display, it is packed with a 2400X1080p 6.5-inch F-HD+ display that supports HDR10+ and has a 144Hz refresh rate, with an aspect ratio of 20:9.  With a 10bit pOLED display, it can showcase up to 1 billion colors that makes it vibrant and colorful with a peak brightness of 500nits.

The display does not lag due to a higher refresh rate and works perfectly without lagging. However, it increases the battery drainage. For better battery life you can use the auto refresh rate, and for the fixed refresh rate, you have two options that are 60Hz and 144Hz.  The 10-bit display offers a great experience of watching media content. Additionally, Edge 30’s Widevine L1 enables you to watch FHD+ content from all OTT platforms.

The front display is protected by corning gorilla glass 3, while the body and back are PMMA or Polymethyl Methacrylate (a plastic substitute for glass). With a triple camera setup and a glossy hosing, you can find Moto’s branding at the bottom with the symbol in the middle. The entire back of the phone is frosted. However, the camera housing pultrudes a little which makes it wobble on a flat surface.

On the front, you will also find a hole-punch on the top along with the selfie camera, and at the bottom, you can find the in-display fingerprint scanner. Interestingly, the Edge 30 is the first mid-range phone by Motorola to have an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Battery Life of Motorola Edge 30

Motorola Edge 30 comes with a 4020 mAh battery. With a charging speed of 33W that is included with the box, you can charge your smartphone super-fast with the Motorola turbo charger. That means your phone can go from having 0% to 50% in just 25 minutes! The battery percentage takes a little more than 60 minutes to become 100%.

However, being the slimmest smartphone in the world takes a blow on the battery life of the Edge 30. This is because 4020 mAh battery is not enough for today’s standard. Nevertheless, the Snapdragon 778+ comes to the rescue here by optimizing the battery consumption and thus, making the smartphone last a full day on light usage. In case of heavy usage, you might have to charge the phone twice a day. Although Motorola could have packed a bigger battery, the 6.8mm thickness, however, cannot house a bigger battery.

mobile device

Camera of The Motorola Edge 30

Motorola Edge 30 houses a triple-camera setup with

  • 50Mp main camera,
  • 50Mp Ultra-wide camera, and
  • 2Mp depth sensor.

The main camera also has optical image stabilization and can help you take some really good shots with natural color tones. The ultra-wide sensor captures decent images but where it shines is microphotography. And yes, the ultra-wide camera on Motorola Edge 30 doubles as a micro-lens as well. After a long time, Motorola has changed the camera app UI. As always, Moto’s camera app UI is simple and loaded with features to help you to capture awesome photos.

Speaking of the front camera, this phone has a 32Mp selfie camera. Thus, you can click great pictures with good contrasts under good lighting conditions. However, Edge 30’s selfie camera is sensitive to motion blur. Thus, in low lighting conditions, you will need a steady hand. Although the portrait mode is okay and captures good pictures, it struggles to distinguish between object and background.Speaking of Motorola Edge 30’s video capturing qualities, you can shoot 4k videos at 30 fps, 1080p videos at 30/60/120 fps, and 720p videos at 960fps. Edge 30 also supports HDR10 with EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization).

Motorola Edge 30: The Pros and Cons

Pros
144Hz refresh rate Display
33W Charging
13 5G Bands
Snapdragon 778+ Chipset
6.8 mm thick slimmest smartphone
Weight – 155 Grams
OIS Support
Good Camera Setup
Clean UI with No Ads
Vibrant Display
CONS
No 3.5mm Audio Jack
No SD-card slot
Front Camera Needs Improvement
Small Battery Size
Frame & Back is Made out of Plastic

Our Final Verdict

Motorola Edge 30 is not the perfect phone. But it is in not a bad phone either. Although it has its own strengths and weaknesses, it is entirely up to you how you choose to use the phone.

Motorola Edge 30 is best suited for you if you

  • Don’t want a smartphone for heavy use
  • Don’t mind the small battery life
  • Want a smartphone for 3-4 hours of daily usage

However, if you’re looking for a smartphone for heavy usage of 5-6 hours a day, there are various options available in the market that offer a better battery life.

Introduction

5G is still in the early days of deployment and most of us are still trying to wrap our heads around it. But you know what?

Now, with rapid development in the tech industry, we are starting to hear about an upcoming thing called 6G technology or 6 Generation technology.

While there is no availability of any tech yet, many ideas are starting to come to the fore about how 6G communications might look like.

Let’s get this straight!

As we know, even though the 5G networks aren’t fully deployed yet, wireless network companies have started looking ahead to the next mobile network.

Technically, 6G doesn’t exist but it could, theoretically, end up being a lot of things. it could build on current network technology trends to create a new type of internet.

So, let’s take a deep dive into the world of 6G and what the future holds.

What is 6G or 6th Generation Technology?

While it is probably a little early to give an exact definition for 6G technology, we can say that the sixth-generation technology is the successor to 4G and 5G technology.

This new network will use higher frequencies than 5G networks and enable higher data rates to have greater capacity, faster speeds, lower latency, and lesser infrastructure requirements. It will support sophisticated mobile devices and systems.

Overall, 6G mobile technology is expected to support micro-second or sub-microsecond latency communications, making communications instantaneous.

New network standards emerge every decade, but 6G is expected to come around 2030. But we can’t say anything for sure, even the term “6G” itself could eventually be replaced by something else.

So, if we are assuming everything here then what’s the point of this discussion in the first place?

The reason experts are talking about 6G is that it will bring major changes in the works for IoT. With consumers using more devices and even more internet, wireless networking companies are rushing to compete with traditional internet providers. To meet the demand with robust and flexible cellular networks.

6G

What will 6G look like?

As we said earlier, it’s very hard to say anything about 6G with assurance as it doesn’t exist yet. But wireless networking companies and experts on the technology describe it as a fully integrated, internet-based system.

According to these companies, the 6G network allows for instantaneous communications between users, devices, vehicles, and the environment.

Unlike before, today we live in a smart environment with the Internet of Things (IoT) around us.

Eventually, with the emergence of 6G technology, we could arrive at an all-encompassing Internet of Everything but that will depend on future developments.

Here is a rundown on the latest technology experts are talking about when they talk about the 6G network:

1. Tbps Speeds

Many experts believe that 6G networks will enable us to hit maximum speeds of one terabit per second (Tbps) on IoT devices.

To help you understand, 1 Tbps is a thousand times faster than 1 Gbps. It is the fastest speed available on most home internet networks today. This means that the hypothetical top speed of 5G is 100 times faster than 10 Gbps.

Fundamentally, though, experts and researchers have predicted that the 6G wireless network will emphasize reliability and high bandwidth.

Meaning that the internet will be instantly and continuously accessible, and it will be woven for the majority of us into the tapestry of everyday life.

2. Terahertz Waves

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) opened the gates to innovation in the 6G future, in 2019. They did this by allowing wireless network companies to begin experimenting with “terahertz waves” or “submillimeter waves.”

Terahertz or submillimeter waves are radio bands that fall in the spectrum of 95GHz to 3THz (terahertz). They come at a higher frequency than millimeter waves.

Today, they are being touted as a robust solution to bandwidth limitations and network congestion.

Millimeter-wave bands carry vast amounts of data at ultrafast speeds and minimal response time for advanced versions of 5G. This makes it possible to develop smart things like remote surgeries and automated cars.

The only drawback is that the millimeter waves only work over short distances. It requires a “line of sight” between the user and the transmitter.

Terahertz waves also have a weaker range but if they can be harnessed to full potential with some novel networking approaches. These waves can open up more capacity for sophisticated activities over a 6G wireless network.

3. Artificial Intelligence and Edge Computing

There is a lot of discussion around automated cars, remote surgeries, remote-controlled factories, and other applications of artificial intelligence (AI) amid the rise of 5G technology.

The advent of 6G technology is expected to make it even more widespread. Some experts even think that artificial intelligence will be required to keep it all running smoothly.

Razvan-Andrei Stoica and Giuseppe Abreu, researchers at Jacobs University in Germany, said that 6G could rely on “collaborative AI” to help self-driving cars communicate with each other, navigate pedestrians and traffic, and determine the best routes from here to there.

This is all a part of an emerging tech called “edge computing.” This technology moves network management towards more localized devices away from centralized clouds making everything work smoother by reducing response time.

4. Immersive Technologies

Virtual reality and augmented reality are also expected to play a major role in 5G. In the 6G era, some experts believe, we will see the emergence of some of the most immersive technologies, such as connected implants, cellular surfaces, wireless brain-computer interfaces, and whatnot.

Walid Saad, a lead author of a July 2019 white paper on 6G, predicts that the smartphones will eventually fall to the wayside in favor of smart wearables, headsets, and implants “that can take direct sensory inputs from human senses.”

NTT DoCoMo, the Japanese mobile company, envisions a fusion of physical life and cyberspace: “For humans, it will become possible for cyberspace to support human thought and action in real-time through wearable devices and micro-devices mounted on the human body.”

What will 6G Mean to you?

Honestly, 6G technology will feel more or less similar to 5G, but more so. You will experience higher speeds, lower latency, and masses of bandwidth.

Researchers and scientists are saying that the 6G technology will go beyond a “wired” network, by using a decentralized network with devices acting as antennas. It will not be under the control of a single network operator.

If we say that everything will be connected using 5G, then 6G will set these connected devices free, at higher data speeds, and lower latency. It will make instant device-to-device connection possible.

While the 5G technology, from autonomous cars and drones to smart cities, will be enhanced with 6G, it might also bring about sci-fi applications. For example, improved touch control systems and integration of brains with computers.

NTT DoCoMo talks about 6G making it, “possible for cyberspace to support human thought and action in real-time through wearable devices and micro-devices mounted on the human body.”

Others have called it “Teleportation of the senses” for similar reasons.

Multiple reports point toward the sci-fi becoming facts, for instance, speed above 100Gbps could make sensory interfaces possible, potentially through smart glasses.

Furthermore, it goes on about prioritizing low power consumption for over-the-air charging, and coverage that extends even out into space.

6th Generation Technology

Who is Working on 6G?

As we are slowly reaching our goal of 5G deployment, research initiatives into 6G became more popular throughout 2020 and early 2021.

Governments and private companies around the world have started extensively researching the possibilities eagerly towards the new technology. Here are several key investments recently made:

  • Chin has already put a 6G experimental satellite into orbit. Reportedly, the satellite is one of 13 new satellites deployed on the Long March-6 rocket in November 2020. China Global Television Network also reported that the satellite weighed 70 kg and helps with data transmission tests at long distances along the terahertz spectrum.
  • In Europe, the 6G Flagship project, which is centered in the University of Oulu of Finland, is combining research on 6G technologies.
  • Japan is devoting $482 million to help 6G become widespread. They will also build a research facility for the development of wireless projects with this funding.
  • In Germany, Vodafone announced that it was establishing a 6G research facility in Dresden, in 2021.
  • In South Korea, Samsung is working on 6G, and promising advances in this technology. Other organizations are predicting the first 6G rollout as early as 2028.
  • In Russia, the R&D institute NIIR and the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology released a forecast predicting that 6G networks in 2021 could become available by 2035.
  • In the U.S., there are many private efforts taking place in the field of 6G, although the federal government did announce a partnership with South Korea over 6G research. Notably, AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile are leading an industry initiative with the Next G Alliance. In May 2021, the Next G Alliance began a technical program to coordinate with new workgroups to develop 6G technology.

Conclusion

For now, with the deployment of 5G just coming to end, it will be interesting to see how this new technology brings to the table. And with 6G having at least ten years to go, let’s enjoy some of the exciting tech 5G.

With 6G on the horizon in 2030 or later, we’ll have more information as the technology develops and progresses.

Introduction

In the past few years, we’ve seen innovative technologies like never before. But most importantly these innovations are coming from tech startups and that’s partly due to recent advancements in the field of artificial intelligence.

Statista says that funding for AI startups worldwide amounted to $24 billion in 2019 which was a tenfold increase from 2013.

Some of these startups have been observed to introduce new products and services, while others have delivered existing technologies in new ways.

In this blog post, we will see some of the top tech startups to look out for in the coming year. But, let’s first understand a little bit about startups.

What Is a Tech Startup?

Tech startup describes any company working in the technology domain, first in the state of operations. It can be recognized by having one or more entrepreneurs developing a product or service in demand.

Since tech startup begins with limited revenue and high operation costs, they usually require huge capital. Hence, they usually include bank loans, business incubators, government grants, and venture capitalists.

When you hear tech startup, one thing that probably comes to your mind is a dingy basement in Silicon Valley. But, that’s not surprising as the United States remains the largest tech market in the world with $1.6 trillion.

However, today’s startup extends beyond mere location. So, here are some interesting stats on tech startups:

  • Census Bureau and two MIT professors found that the most successful entrepreneurs tend to be middle-aged even in the tech sector.
  • Inc says a 50-year-old entrepreneur is almost twice as likely to start an extremely successful company as a 30-year-old.
  • Crunchbase says the percentage of female startup founders has doubled from 10% to 20%, from 2009 to 2019.
  • The brex founder spending report says that the average age of a Startup founder is 45.
  • The Brex founder spending report says Facebook and Amazon Web Services are the leading expenses for advertising and web services; Zoom dominates for web conferencing.
  • Statista says that cities in California hold 8 of the top 10 spots for startups per capita.
  • 47% of Series A-funded startups spend more than $400k/month. (source)
  • Seed-funded companies spend on average $118k/month. (source)
  • Less than 10% of seed-funded startups make it to Series A. (source)
  • HubSpot CRM gets almost twice the revenue from startups compared to industry giant Salesforce. (source)

Introduction

The COVID-19 pandemic has shaken the world to its very core. It has not only put the U.S. to the test but the whole world. The virus has tested the capacity of the healthcare system to the efficiency of supply chains. Similarly, data centers have also put into test during this pandemic to demonstrate if they are “essential services”. If they deliver capacity and make working, exercising, learning, socializing, shopping, attending social events, and entertainment from home reality.

Some of the most successful tech companies consider their data centers as their strategic assets including Google, Apple, and Facebook. This can be attributed to its enormous competitive advantage. Today, both large and small organizations want to turn their data centers into strategic assets as well. However, the only way to it is by striking a balance between reliability and efficiency.

While it might sound very easy to achieve it is not! It was much easier during the time of IT monopoly on enterprise computing. To remain competitive, IT departments need to and must reorganize data centers. This can enable then successfully manage the collection of and access to data and improve service during the pandemic.

Since the digital transformation, data has been growing at an unprecedented rate. Before the pandemic, Gartner forecasted cloud computing will reach nearly $300 billion by 2021, up from $175.8 billion in 2018. Post-pandemic demand for data center solutions will be even higher than ever. According to a report by Australia’s National Broadband Network (NBN), the daytime usage of broadband increased by nearly 70-80% in comparison to February.

Data Center Is Data

Everyday operations can easily make us forget why a data center is different from other parts of the business. Data is one of the most important aspects when running business operations. It is the one place to store, process, and distribute large amounts of business-relevant data.

data center

There are various departments in the organization where data may be generated and use as part of operations, analysis, and planning work. However, data centers are the only places where it is reliably gathered, protected, and preserved. To sum up, they are one part of the organization that is capable of treating data as an asset for growth business by capturing the most value from data. The IT department needs to strike a balance between operating and capital expenses to support business initiatives from the operation.

The pandemic has led to a surge in the usage of cloud platforms and data-intensive applications. Some of the questions many of us are asking is what’s next? Where do we go from here? Future of data centers post-pandemic?

Benefits of Data Center

The advancement of technology has made data centers the powerhouses of the industrial world. But as technology is a continuously evolving process so is the change in the way organizations do business. This also impacts the requirement for data and power. An increase in requirement for resources is sometimes too much for many companies to handle internally with existing infrastructure. It may require the company to invest many hours and personnel to maintain such high demand. Data centers in such companies allow them to outsource their power needs.

Today’s COVID-19 crisis is expected to drive up demand for everything from power and cooling infrastructure to IT hardware and software. This is expected to gear for cloud service provider data centers, according to the market research firm Media. There are several ways organizations benefit from data centers. This can help companies enormously as the company can then shift its focus on its consumer objectives instead of technological maintenance.

1. Protecting Power

Servers kept onsite are prone to more broadband issues. This can wreak havoc on organizations due to technological and natural power outages. Businesses that outsource data can lessen the impact of a power failure or other disaster. Furthermore, in the event of power loss for even 1/50 of a second, IT equipment might become unavailable for 15 minutes to several hours. Sometimes these power failures might become incurable if they result in data loss.

2. Secure Data Storage

In recent years, the number of cyber-attacks on companies has increased which has also intensified the problems and risks associated with data loss. Data centers can prove to be a much more secure option for data storage than traditional storage methods. Storage systems, network devices, and servers have all become miniaturized so in cases of power conditions they falter and fail which was earlier withstood by previous generation equipment. Data centers not only provide reliable storage but they also eliminate the glitches of portable technology.

secure data storage

3. Cutting Costs

According to a study sponsored by the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), on 2 million business establishments, the U.S. lost an annual $45.7 billion to outages and another $6.7 billion to power quality disturbances. A portion of this loss can be eliminated through data centers as they utilize a system that has the potential to withstand unfavorable power conditions. Conditions are not even favorable to generators and surge suppressors as they require significant energy to maintain.

These components that are sometimes crucial to the company are also not immune to electrical disturbances, contributing to power costs. In recent years, the cost of power and cooling has increased. Managers of the data center have responsible manages to achieving availability and reduction in power costs.

4. Improving Efficiency

Electrical power, by the law itself, can vary widely to cause several problems for IT equipment. Legally, the voltage can vary from 5.7% to 8.3%, according to the current U.S. standards. Meaning the utility services might promise 208 volts but legally deliver 191 to 220 volts. This uncertainty around power levels can be eliminated by data centers with strict guidelines and monitoring processes.

Moreover, businesses may have their power source bet utility power isn’t always clean. So the public utilities are used to supply the central hub. Numerous organizations utilize the same power grid slowing down the IT functions of companies. Such companies will notice improvements in their technological speed and functioning due to data centers privatizes power. This ensures only one company is connected to one grid.

5. Adjusting Business to Benefit from Data Center

Technological advancements are changing current working models. However, changing human behavior to adopt new conditions is hard. If companies and businesses want to fully benefit from the data center there might need to make some changes to their workflows. The potential benefits can be transformative both financially and operationally for businesses that are ready to embrace and reinvent their data and data center strategies.
